Can you accommodate special requests for scattering?
Yes, we will attempt to satisfy any special requests provided they are not in violation of governing state or federal statutes.

Are there any hidden additional costs?
No; unless you desire some special service not usually included in our procedures, there are no hidden charges. Desired special services can be discussed separately and usually accommodated at a minimal additional fee.

How are the cremains (ashes) dispersed from the boat into the ocean?
There are a couple of ways this is commonly done. Some wish to have the cremains transferred from the urn (container) you bring them in, to a biodegradable paper urn. The cremains are then lowered by a family member into the ocean. The cremains sink, and flowers are thrown in to provide a marker of interment. This procedure prevents “blow-back” of the ashes back aboard the boat and guests. Others prefer to scatter the ashes directly from the urn into the sea.

What does the Certificate of Ash Scattering look like?
This Certificate provides GPS coordinates of Latitude and Longitude so that you may revisit the exact site of your loved ones.

What form of payment do you accept?
We accept Personal Checks, Cashiers Checks, Money Orders, Visa and Mastercard.

Can I place flowers or can I have flowers placed in the water during the burial/scattering of ashes?
Placing flowers in the water during the service is a wonderful way to visually memorialize the service with a photograph.

You may bring the flowers or we can provide flowers for an additional charge.

Can a Chaplain be present?
For attended Burials at Sea, a Chaplain of your choice can be present

How long is the cruise?
Usually 1 ˝ hours; this can vary according to arrangements made prior to departure.

Is there a restroom on board?
Yes.

How about refreshments?
Complimentary coffee, tea and cookies are provided.

Can I play a certain song during the services?
Absolutely. Yes. If you want to bring a CD or your own iPod, you can plug it directly into the stereo. This is your day and we will do everything we can to make it as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
